Example
Lets take the external modem US Robotics with chipset Sporster as an example.
If you constantly get disconnected from the Internet, or if during the dialing
process(handshaking), finding the corresponding extra settings will reduce the connecting
speed thereby stabilising your connection. To reduce the speed, we can adopt V34
protocol, thereupon the respective setting will be ats32=66.
* NOTE 1: If you do not have the extra settings, the Pre-Terminal window can be used
to identify the correct setting. If no characters appear type ate1 and Enter.
*NOTE 2: If you cannot connect with
the extra settings, you should reduce the port's maximum speed to 57600 or 38400.
